The Geffrye Museum

I do love a good free London museum, and The Geffrye Museum on the Overground line near Hoxton was one we visited this Autumn weekend. It is the 'Museum of the Home' meaning it was filled with information and examples of rooms in London homes throughout the last 500 years or so.

The building used to be Almshouses then was converted into a museum so is just stunning. The gardens are open from April to October so get in there while you still can!

There are always free events and exhibitions at the Geffrye, and currently there is one about the Teenage Bedroom in London with a variety of items from some North East Londoners' bedrooms.

I'd highly recommend a quick visit if you're in this area of London as it's a great way to spend an hour or so (and the coffee shop Chai Lattes are amazing).
